Mt. Abram Ski Resort - Maine

Mt. Abram Ski Resort
A Favorite of Families

Mt. Abram Ski Resort has long been a favorite of families, especially those with children. Even now, when families can travel just a little further to a mega-resort, many prefer the intimate feel of Mt. Abram Ski Resort.

This is fostered by the fact that at the end of the day, or at lunch for that matter, it is easy to round up the family as there is only one base area and the parking lot is nearby -- easily accessible for forgotten mittens, goggles or other items left in the car.

The mountain provides beginner to expert terrain, enough to keep skiers of all abilities happy, but with an emphasis on intermediate level cruising.

There is a 2-1/2-mile long Easy Rider with spectacular views, the Bullwinkle cruising trail, heat pumping Rocky's Run and two new fall-line bump runs.

Mt. Abram Ski Resort offers a permanent half-pipe for snowboards on Dudley-Do-Right, an intermediate trail located on the main face of the mountain.

The Mt. Abram Ski Resort Ski School emphasizes ski building for all ages, with special attention to children and a learn-to-ski program.

Plenty of accommodations -- from mountainside condos to country inns -- can be found in Bethel and neighboring towns.
